Epson releases the thinnest 3000 lumen 3LCD projector in the world
Sydney 2 December 2010: The thinnest 3000 lumen 3LCD projector in the world has joined the Epson corporate projector range, in a variety of business-friendly configurations to match mobile user needs.
At just 45mm high - less than the height of a credit card - and weighing a mere 1.7kg, the Epson EB-1700 series of ultraportable 3LCD projectors deliver bright, colourful images in regular meeting environments, yet are small and light enough to fit in the same bag with a notebook computer.
The top of the range EB-1775W has executive-style and speed with fully automated setup - just switch on and leave the rest to the projector, including vertical (± 45 degrees) and horizontal (± 30 degrees) keystone correction, and a one touch “screen fit” button that automatically resizes the image to match with the edges of the screen, adjusting focus at the same time, all in less than 4 seconds.
The EB-1770W, EB-1760W and EB-1750 are designed for absolute ease of use in every business situation, with automatic vertical keystone correction, source search, auto detection of RGB/Component connections, multi-screen colour adjustment, password protection, auto iris on/off, internal speaker, normal and ECO power modes, and three pre-set colour modes.
To match the screen aspect of most notebook computers, the EB-1775W, EB-1770W and EB-1760W all project in native WXGA widescreen format, allowing presentations designed on laptop to display in full size without the edges missing.
With the EB-1775W (included), EB-1770W (optional) and EB-1760W (optional), you can even eliminate unprofessional and complicated cabling across the desk or floor by connecting to 802.11b/g/n wireless networks, or for added simplicity, the USB Quick Wireless Connection Key enables quick peer to peer connections to a notebook computer.
Every projector in the EB-1700 series can display presentations with image, audio and mouse control via a connection to a PC or Mac with a simple USB cable. You can also create and display images directly from a USB memory device, making it possible to give presentations without the need for a connected computer.
For other input and display options Epson’s EB-1700 projectors have HDMI (not EB-1750), VGA, Video (RCA), USB Type B, USB Type A, and Audio (stereo mini) ports.
Total cost of ownership is kept low by the frugal power consumption, and by the inexpensive price of only $119 for replacement lamps.
To help maintain that commanding executive presence, the EB-1700 series projectors connect directly to the Epson ELP-DC06 desktop document camera/visualiser. These Epson products include exclusive technology enabling them to connect via USB and provide full featured operation without the need for a computer.

3LCD panel technology, including clear and vibrant images in continuous colour,
sharper and brighter images with superior greyscale detail, high Colour Light
output, plus reliable components with no constantly moving parts (except the

In line with Epson’s determination to reduce the environmental impacts
of its products, all projectors in the EB-1700 series conform to the criteria
of the European Directive on Eco-Design which is aimed at improving the environmental
performance of energy related products (ERPs) through eco-considerate design
to ensure energy efficiency throughout a product’s lifecycle, including
the manufacture and disposal stages.
