Epson adds high speed desktop four colour label on-demand

October 2013

Sydney 15 October 2013: Epson has enhanced its desktop on-demand colour label printer range with the release of the high speed four colour TM-C3500 with LCD interface, higher resolution black print for high density bar and QR codes, and greater media flexibility including glossy paper handling.

Whether printing packaging labels with colourful images and logos or tickets and ID cards with important barcodes and handling and safety information, the TM-C3500 prints every label quickly, efficiently and at a low cost per label.

On-demand printing with the TM-C3500 offers a faster, less costly and more flexible solution to meeting colour label needs. With its improved media versatility and high quality image and bar code printing, the TM-C3500 with a small stock of blank labels replaces a larger and more expensive stock of pre-printed label templates and a secondary printer with ink supplies for overprinting the templates.

The TM-C3500 uses Epson’s DURABriteā„¢ Ultra four colour (black, cyan, magenta, yellow) pigment ink to quickly produce distinctive high quality labels that are resistant to smudging, water, alcohol and challenging environmental conditions such as UV lighting.

For safety and occupational health applications the TM-C3500 also helps users conform with the GHS international chemical labelling system, as labels can be printed on-demand incorporating GHS pictograms without the need for pre-printed templates.

With a maximum print speed of 103mm/sec+ and an on-board auto-cutter, the TM-C3500 offers cost saving, marketing and safety enhancing applications in manufacturing, retail and Point of Sale, logistics and transport, healthcare and pharmacies, events and ticketing, markets and supermarkets, food production, warehousing and distribution.

Advanced features include an auto nozzle check system that allows the TM-C3500 to reliably produce an uninterrupted high volume of labels with excellent image quality when needed, and USB2.0 and Ethernet 10/100 BASE-T ports for easy connection to networks and other devices .

Easy-to-use features include front loading paper and individual ink and maintenance cartridges, an LCD with printer status display, wizard-type software to help with the initial set-up and modifying various settings such as installing printer driver and printer and paper settings.

The TM-C3500 accepts roll-fed or fanfold paper, die cut or continuous, single layer
or adhesive labels on liner, plain paper, fine paper, PET film, and synthetic paper with either matte or glossy surface, and is compatible with most major labelling applications such as BarTender, CODESOFT and NiceLabel.
