Glad I made the change from TV to big screen

Don't be hesitant of this beast of a projector if you want to take the leap to a big screen. Do your research, yes, go and see this product in action at your nearest dealer. You wont look back at those other brands. This is bang for your buck.
Woweee!! Brilliant colours, no lag with action movies or watching sport, it's like watching a high end tv but at a fraction of the cost on a massive screen. Bite the bullet, be different and forget about what other people say in reviews. Thank you epson for a great product.

Amazing Picture

I have turned LS10000 on and off over the past few months while I have been building a dedicated home theatre room, and even just projecting onto the grey concrete wall the picture quality impressed me. Now projecting in a room where the walls are a shade lighter then black (wanted black, wife said no) the picture is absolutely amazing I couldn’t fault it. For the first time that I can remember I have sat down and watched movies without complaining about some aspect of the picture quality not being up to theatre quality. Even when calibrating the projector the settings out of the box were near perfect. Once you get the settings right on the 4k enhancement the picture is mind blowing for Blu-rays. I am very keen to try actual 4k content to see how it preforms. Epson, you have one very happy customer right here.

One awesome projector

This is my sixth home theatre projector and without doubt the finest I have owned, but also the best home theatre projector I have seen. The laser light engine means I no longer have to worry about lamp usage or more importantly lamp degradation, so this is now my display of choice. I will still use my 60 inch LCDTV for some regular TV viewing but the LS10000 will be my goto display for Movies and my favourite TV series. The Blacks are exceptional and the resolution, thanks to the 4K upscaling, is amazing.
Also although 1500 lumens doesn't sound super bright, it's the contrast ratio (unmeasurable) that makes the real difference. In living room mode with heaps of ambient light the projector still has a great picture, but in a darkened room with one of the theatre modes selected the picture is simply stunning.
