Enhanced scanning speed by incorporating innovative technologies
With numerous technologies that enhance the speed of data processing and transmission, the Perfection 3490 Photo and Perfection 3590 Photo have been designed for high quality scanning without compromising on speed. The first of these technologies is a high-speed ASIC (Application-Specific Integrated Circuit) that processes image data at speeds much greater than previous models.
To improve negative scanning speed, both scanners models incorporate an innovative bluish lamp, which compensates for the fact that in negative scanning, the capture of blue data takes significantly longer than green and red. The result is a shorter exposure time required for the accurate capture of the blue image data.
Adding even further to the high speed capabilities of the Perfection 3490 Photo and Perfection 3590 Photo is a standard USB 2.0 port. Aside from providing broad connectivity support, the USB 2.0 port ensures a high speed transmission rate of the massive amounts of scanned image data captured and processed by the scanner.
