Bundled with the Epson GT-S50 is a range of industry leading software applications selected specifically to assist in exploiting the full potential of the scanner as the hub of a highly productive and versatile document management solution. The applications include:
- Presto! PageManager 8 Standard for Windows and Mac: Powerful and easy to use document management software that utilises advanced OCR (Optical Character Recognition) technology, converting paper–based documents into text files that retain the format and layout of the original. With the new version of PageManager 8, a comprehensive range of document management features have been included. Among these are:
- Split/Merge PDF
- Convert PDF to RTF (Windows only)
- Support for Lotus Notes
- Auto–Cropping of business cards
- File Stacking to group related files, even those in different formats
- Add annotation to image (text, stamp, highlight, freehand line, straight line, sticky notes, vertical text)
- Ability to back up to hard drive
- ABBYY Fine Reader 6 Sprint Plus (Version 5 for Mac OS X): An easy to use tool based on powerful ABBYY technologies allowing users to convert scanned documents into editable formats, such as Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
- Presto! BizCard 5 for Windows and Mac: An innovative application that takes full advantage of modern OCR technology and its own in–built format recognition capabilities to convert information on scanned business cards into searchable data. This data can then be synchronised with external devices and software, such as Microsoft Outlook, PCs, Macs and PDAs.
