Double–or Single–Sided Scanning
Key among the many features of the Epson GT-S50 that make it a best-fit for business document scanning solutions is the ability to scan both sides of a double–sided document simultaneously. In combination with the built–in Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) this double–sided (duplex) scanning capability boosts the Epson GT-S50’s document scanning speed up to 25 pages per minute and 50 images per minute (double–sided scanning).
The duplex scanning feature is the result of Dual CCD (Charge–Coupled Device) Technology, where high quality three–line (RGB) CCD sensors are used in tandem to scan both sides of a document as it passes through the scanner.
