Using the bundled Epson Event Manager software, up to ten user defined job settings can be created and stored. With this feature, the Epson GT-S50 can be used to dramatically reduce the time spent in meeting multiple document scanning requirements. Settings, such as document type, size, resolution, destination folder and destination format can all be pre–configured and stored.
Once job settings have been defined, it’s a quick and simple matter of navigating through the jobs using the Epson GT-S50’s in-built LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) screen. With the job highlighted, and regardless of the number of individual settings it contains, a single press of the scanner’s Start button is all that’s required to initiate the job.
Users can also choose to display a personalised job name instead of the job settings, providing even further flexibility in how jobs are viewed.
In the modern business IT environment, the functionality afforded users by Epson Event Manager is extended to support Microsoft SharePoint, network and FTP folders, as well as direct scanning to custom business applications. Adding even greater value and relevance is the ability to assign VBScripts, which can launch a specific sequence of actions.
