ReadyScan LED Technology, in contrast to those scanners utilising a Cold Cathode Fluorescent Lamp (CCFL) light system, exploits the enormous potential of advanced Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs). This ensures the Epson GT-S50 delivers:
- Improved Performance: Generating significantly less heat than CCFL-based scanners, the Epson GT-S50’s ReadyScan LED Technology places much less physical stress on the scanned items and the scanner itself. From a performance perspective, the fact that the Epson GT-S50 uses LEDs, means that within one second of switching on it’s ready to use, making it an ideal document scanning solution for the business environment.
- Energy efficiency: Due to low power consumption and barely one-second warm–up time, the Epson GT-S50 ReadyScan LED Technology is highly energy efficient.
