Used either as a TWAIN driver for applications such as Microsoft Word* or as an application in its own right, Epson Scan 3.6 delivers an amazing range of scanning and document management features that help make full use of the Epson GT-S50’s advanced scanning technologies. These document management features include:
- Correct Document Skew: Automatic straightening of documents placed at a slant in the ADF
- Hole Punch Removal: Intelligent auto detection and removal of hole punch marks
- Skip Blank Page: An option for the automatic bypassing of blank pages
- Text Enhancement: Sharpening of text and removal of backgrounds to improve OCR accuracy
- Colour Enhancement: Enhance a specified colour (R, G or B) to improve scans of faded or faxed documents
- Colour Dropout: Opposite to Colour Enhancement, allows a colour to be ignored during a scan
- Auto Area Segmentation (AAS): Enhances image quality and visibility when scanning in black-and-white
- PDF File functionality: Straightforward creation of searchable (Windows only), encrypted and/or compressed PDF files.
