8 Individual Colour Ink Cartridges
Beautiful colour has always been at the heart of the Epson range of STYLUS PHOTO printers and the Stylus Photo R1800 represents yet one more step forward. Eight individual Epson Intellidge Ink cartridges, featuring new, high performance inks, play a major part in this printer's outstanding photograph printing capabilities.
Introduced with the Epson Stylus Photo R1800 is a major breakthrough in ink development - the new Epson UltraChrome Hi-Gloss™ pigment ink. Included in the eight individual cartridges (C, M, Y, R, B, MBk, PBk, GO), is a new red (R) and blue (B) ink, separate Matte (MBk) and Photo Black (PBk) cartridges. This new ink formulation delivers significant improvements in the quality of photo printing.
Red and Blue Ink
To enhance the print quality of the Epson Stylus Photo R1800, Epson has added Red and Blue inks to the standard yellow, Magenta, Cyan, Matte Black and Photo Black ink set. Besides improving the glossy finish of colour prints, these additional colours expand the effective colour gamut.
Gloss Optimiser
Uneven gloss can be a major problem in the overall quality of photo prints. With the inclusion of Gloss Optimiser (GO) into its ink-set, the Stylus Photo R1800 achieves an even gloss finish across the entire print surface by adding Gloss Optimiser to areas such as highlights, where ink density is low, or to whole areas where no ink is used.
