RAW format support
In meeting the high level needs of professional and advanced amateur photographers, the Epson Epson P-6000 Multimedia Storage Viewer has been designed to display a variety of RAW formats used in a wide range of digital still cameras. This broad support of RAW formats ensures photographers can quickly and easily check the focus, exposure, colour and composition of photos.
RAW and JPEG files can be edited quickly and easily using the Epson Epson P-6000 Multimedia Storage Viewer’s in-built image editing features, providing photographers with in-field/on-site access to numerous commonly used image manipulation functions. These include: skin tone enhancement, night scene adjustments and colour to black-and-white conversion. The Epson Epson P-6000 Multimedia Storage Viewer’s RAW and JPEG native support also extends to direct printing to a PictBridge-compatible printer.
Adding even further to the critical photo data display capabilities of the Epson Epson P-6000 Multimedia Storage Viewer is its ability to display photo metadata such as exposure information, Exif data, histogram and colour space. An exposure warning function has also been included to provide a visual alert to indicate poorly exposed highlight and shadow areas of photos.
Given the wide variety of RAW file formats and lack of an open standard, the Epson Epson P-6000 Multimedia Storage Viewer has been designed with Adobe DNG (Digital Negative) support. This publicly available archival format for digital camera RAW files helps ensure photographers can access a greater range of RAW formats.
