High Speed Operation
Along with the new high speed moving carriage-type TPU, the PERFECTION 4870 PHOTO features the ability to connect to the PC using either a USB 2.0 interface or high speed Firewire.
Another speed enhancing characteristic of the PERFECTION 4870 PHOTO is its new bluish lamp. This innovative technology addresses the traditional problem associated with using pure white light to scan negatives, which requires longer exposure time for blue image data. With its bluish lamp, the scanner has a much shorter exposure time for blue, resulting in higher speed scanning of negatives.
