The SureColor F9560 is designed for custom fabric and garments, premium soft and hard signage, décor and merchandise production. It is a high-performance roll-to-roll 64” dye sublimation printer that offers high image quality with fast performance and economic operation. It can be ordered in either a 4c or 6c configuration and uses a dual 1.6 L ink pouch style supply with hot-swap. Prints are made on paper, which is transferred (sublimated) via a heat press onto materials with a polyester base or polyester pre-treatment.

The SC-F9560 is designed for high-production volumes. It combines a large 2.64” Epson printhead with advanced Epson dye sublimation ink, a high-capacity tray-loaded ink system, and advanced Precision Dot image processing. All components work together to enable superior imaging with fine gradation, an expanded gamut and high colour density. The engine and ink system enable cost-effective production at speeds up to 147 m2/hr. An integrated heater and auto take-up (ATU) enables fast and efficient roll-to-roll production for operation with a calendar-style heat press.

QUALITY RESULTS AT FASTER PASS RATES

The SureColor F9560 has been designed to facilitate quality output at high production speeds. It features a PrecisionCore TFP with Variable Sized Droplet Technology driven by Epson Precision Dot Technology. Prints can be produced at incredibly fast pass rates with accurate and consistent colour. A range of print modes are available to suit different production and application requirements.

Epson UltraChrome DS ink provides vibrant colour that dries quickly, transfers smoothly and provides excellent light and wash fastness. The ink is resistant to damage through abrasion and perspiration. When applied to polyester fabrics, it conforms to the latest Oeko-Tex® Eco Passport standard with products safe for use by adults, children and babies5. The SC-F9560 ships with a 4c ink set that includes C/Y/M + HDk for vibrant colour with a neutral tone and an expanded gamut. The 6c SC-F9560H ships with the same base set and can be configured with a choice of three extended sets: Fluro Fy/Fp for maximum brightness, Or/Vi gamut for maximum colour range, and tonal Lc/Lm for maximum gradation with minimum grain. Whether you want to produce décor and merchandise, attention-getting sportswear and soft signage, custom designer clothing, or premium hard signage, this model provides a solution.1, 5

FLEXIBLE WORKFLOW

The SureColor F9560 has a low profile and a compact footprint. It has a flat top with a transparent panel that provides visibility to the platen with integrated lighting. The large 4.3” touchscreen control panel can be angled up for easier viewing and features an easy-to-use interface with integrated help. The ink systems use 1.6 L pouches that are compact, easy to transport and store and produce minimal waste. They load via a simple tray system in a dual set for extended operation with hot-swap for rapid exchange without interruption. The printer supports media as thin as 0.04 mm in rolls with diameters up to 250 mm and widths up to 64”. The integrated dryer and auto take-up (ATU) enables efficient roll-to-roll production when used with a calendar-style heat press.2, 3

The Epson DS fabric series has been designed for consistent, reliable and cost-effective operation. The SC-F9560 incorporates a printhead with advanced self-management. It features ink-less nozzle status monitoring, auto nozzle replacement and self-cleaning. Manual maintenance is minimal, assisted by an on-screen guide and additional videos accessed via a QR-code. Should there be a problem with your printer it also facilitates enhanced support with remote diagnosis, accelerated repair and even (optional) user replacement of the printhead.4

EASY TO INSTALL & OPERATE

Dye sublimation offers significant benefits over traditional screen printing. Digital image processing enables easier image creation and editing, more output control and more flexible production with superior consistency. It is considerably quicker and less expensive for short-to-medium production runs, requires less labour, materials and wastage. Printing is mess-free and production can occur in a relatively small amount of space. Job turnaround is faster and repeat runs can be undertaken at the push of a button. While the process generally only suits fabrics with a high polyester content, it can also be used with a range of other materials that will accept a polyester spray and withstand the heat and pressure of the transfer process. A wide range of products can be produced, including fabric banners and metal signage, timber furniture finishes and sporting goods, phone covers and tablet cases, footwear ('thongs') and sportswear, wall decorations and home décor.

The SureColor F9560 runs off a standard 240 V power supply, can be driven by a moderately powered PC and ships complete with software. Epson Edge Print Pro provides a simple and effective tool for the production of quality output. While traditional RIP applications are hampered by generic drivers and imaging limitations, this software grants access to the full power inherent of Epson printers. It features an uncluttered interface with advanced on-screen visualisation and an Adobe Postscript® engine that supports PS, EPS, PDF, TIFF, JPEG and PNG files. It incorporates basic functions such as copy, position, and trim, along with advanced colour correction, nesting and tiling. When used in conjunction with Epson Cloud Solution PORT it offers additional functionality.1

1 This printer is designed to operate exclusively with Epson UltraChrome DS ink. The ink ensures accurate colour with reliable and durable mechanical operation. The extended ink sets available for the 6c SC-F9560H must be ordered separately and in pairs. Sets cannot be combined and once the printer has been initialised, the set cannot be changed.
2 The printer supports rolls as narrow as 300 mm, however, for roll-to-roll operation, media must be at least 914 mm wide.
3 Epson Edge Print is a Windows only application. A PC with adequate processing power, memory, storage and networking facilities will be required. This printer can be connected via USB, however, Ethernet is strongly recommended. The independent sourcing of appropriate transfer equipment will be required (calendar-style is recommended).
4 After-sales support is coordinated by Epson in conjunction with our authorised reseller and service networks. Support may be restricted or limited if equipment is used outside of specification, with incorrect and/or non-genuine consumables. CoverPlus requires activation of Epson Cloud Solution PORT, agreement to the terms of supply and connection to the Internet. User self-replacement requires staff to be appropriately skilled and trained. For further details, please refer to the specs tab.
5 ECO PASSPORT by OEKO‐TEX® an international standard for the textile industry system. It enables suppliers to demonstrate that products can be used in sustainable textile production. For further information please see the OEKO-TEX web site.
