Epson is a world leader in digital fabric production. The SureColor G6060 is a new model developed exclusively for direct-to-film (DTFilm) production. Designed to deliver consistent, high-quality output, it features a low running cost with high durability and low maintenance. It combines a fast print speed with continuous nozzle status monitoring and advanced self-cleaning for maximum productivity with minimum waste. It supports single layer (white or CYMK) as well as dual layer 5-colour output. It ships complete with software, uses cost-effective roll-based film and pouch-based ink. A comprehensive on-site ‘heads-and all’ warranty can be extended with CoverPlus for up to 5 years service cover.
The SC-G6060 can be used as a stand-alone device for cut-sheet output or in-line with a powder applicator and oven unit for roll-to-roll production. The printer has a small footprint and when producing cut sheets, it will hold the completed job until released by the operator. When used with a 3rd party shaker/oven unit it can produce finished rolls quickly with minimal delay between jobs. The printer uses Epson UltraChrome® DF ink which works in conjunction with Epson Precision Dot technology to produce images that are bright, consistent and colour accurate, with an enhanced gamut. It features a PrecisionCore® printhead that enables super-fine lines, exceptional gradations, and solid fills. Ink ships in 1.6L ink pouches that are inexpensive to purchase, easy to agitate, quick and mess-free to load.1

Quality results
The SC-G6060 was designed for medium to high volume commercial production. It is built on a proven platform with technology that has been refined over many years. It features one of Epson's latest PrecisionCore MicroPiezo Thin Film printheads that operates in conjunction with Epson Precision Dot Technology to deliver consistent output with fine lines, solid fills and smooth gradations. The printhead is self-cleaning via a fabric-based wiper unit that is quick and easy to replace. An advanced capping system uses maintenance liquid to ensure the head is kept moist and lint-free.
New UltraChrome DF ink has was developed from product refined over multiple generations of Epson DTG printers. It works with films and powders available from a range of manufacturers. When applied to fabric and appropriately fixed it conforms to the latest Oeko-Tex® Eco Passport, GOTS and CPSIA standards.1, 3
Easy to operate
Direct to film (DTFilm) printing is an alternative to direct-to-garment (DTG). While the finished product has a different presentation and feel, the process tends to be faster and more flexible. It involves more steps than DTG but artwork can be produced in advance and applied to merchandise at the point of customer selection. The process involves additional equipment and special powder but fabric does not require pre-treatment and printing uses less ink. It works with a wider range of fabric and can even be used to produce merchandise like umbrellas, coasters and binders.1
Printer & Ink + Film -> Apply Powder -> Bake -> Press Item
Continuous ink-less nozzle status monitoring combined with a fabric-based auto head cleaning system ensures consistent high-quality output. An advanced self-washing capping system ensures the printhead is maintained in optimal condition for reliable operation. The printer features a 4.3'' touch panel with integrated help and a large access panel for easy maintenance. Manual maintenance can typically be completed in a couple of minutes once a week.
Easy to Install
The SureColor G6060 features a compact design with a small footprint and all-front-loaded consumables. It can be installed against a wall or in a corner and when used stand-alone for sheet-based output it requires less than 4m2. When used with a typical shaker/oven unit it only requires around 10m2. It uses a standard 240 V supply, draws only 65 W when operating and produces minimum noise. For optimal performance and functionality, the printer should be connected via Ethernet to a network with Internet access although it does also support USB.1
The printer is supplied complete with software and 8L of ink. Epson Edge Print PRO is a powerful RIP that is built on an Adobe® engine. It provides access to the full capability of the printer while featuring an interface that is simple and straight forward. Content can be uploaded and edited, combined, and duplicated with live on-screen preview. Ink levels can be adjusted to ensure optimal results on different media with output that is predictable, accurate and consistent.
Flexible and economic to run
The SC-G6060 consumes minimal power. It accepts roll-based film up to 150 mm in diameter, from 254 mm (10'') to 900 mm (35.4'') in width. It uses cost-effective 1.6L pouch-based ink that is easy to agitate and quick to load with minimum fuss and mess. The printer supports single layer white or CYMK output, as well as dual layer white plus colour output with a range of print modes to suit different workflow and application requirements.
The printer features a high duty cycle and ships with a comprehensive single-source on-site 1 year warranty. Service cover can extended with CoverPlus up to 5 years to ensure minimum costs and a low total cost of ownership (TCO). The integrated Epson Cloud Solution PORT service not only facilitates enhanced management and job costing but remote monitoring and service diagnosis for maximum uptime, productivity and profit.2
1 It is important to discuss fabric and workflow preferences with Epson and/or your dealer prior to purchase. This printer needs to be operated in conjunction with a number of 3rd party consumables and devices. While the printer supports a wide range of production methods, not all films, powders and shaker/oven units are compatible. Print adherence and durability will vary across different fabric types and merchandise surfaces and not all substrates may be compatible with the heat transfer process.
2 In the situation where a hardware repair is required Epson will perform this free on-site within greater metro locations in Australia (New Zealand and regional Australian locations may attract travelling charges). Cover can be extended up to a maximum total of 5 years through the purchase of optional CoverPlus. CoverPlus on this model is conditional on activation of Epson Cloud Solution PORT and connection to a network via Ethernet that has Internet access. For a full list of terms & conditions; please refer to the specification tab for this product along with the relevant Warranty and CoverPlus pages on this web site.
3 When applied to fabric and appropriately fixed Epson DS2 ink has met or exceeded the standards established by GOTS-ECOCERT and OEKO-TEX ECO PASSPORT. For further details on these standards please visit www.ecocert.com and www.oeko-tex.com/ecopass.
