Epson launches World’s Lightest and Smallest Wireless Mobile Printer - the WorkForce WF-100

SYDNEY, 2 December 2014 – Epson today announced the world’s smallest and lightest mobile printer1, the WorkForce^® WF-100. Designed for professionals on the go, the WorkForce WF-100 includes built-in wireless connectivity and Wi-Fi Direct^®2 enabling users to easily print from a range of devices, including tablets, smartphones and laptops. The WF-100 also includes an integrated battery that charges via USB or the included AC adapter and an automatic power-off feature to save battery life.

The WF-100 has been specifically designed to print and display lab-quality borderless photos up to 4" x 6" (10cm x 15cm) and intricate documents with crisp, sharp text with speeds of up to 7.0 ISO ppm (black) and 4.0 ISO ppm (colour)†

By using simple wireless connectivity the Workforce^® WF-100 can easily be shared with multiple computers and mobile devices (up to four devices at once) allowing users the freedom to print from anywhere. Setup involves a straightforward plug and play function and simply choosing an existing network with 802.11n or Wi-Fi Direct2, which means no wireless network is required, making peer-to-peer printing easy.

In addition to easy printing using Epson Connect™3 The WF-100 also supports Android™, Apple^® iPad and iPhone, Chromebook™, Kindle Fire™, Mac^® and Windows^® devices. When printing from iPad^® or iPhone^® Apple^® AirPrint™ makes it simple to print photos, emails, web pages and documents straight from the device. There's no software to download, no drivers to install and no cables to connect as the iPad^® or iPhone^® will automatically connect to the printer.

The high mobility of the WF-100 doesn’t end there as users can also print on the go from a smartphone or tablet using Google Cloud Print™ via Gmail™ or a Google Drive™ account as well as printing from Chromebooks and Google Chrome™ without installing drivers or connecting cables.

The WF-100 has an easy to use bright 1.4" colour LCD screen plus convenient control panel for simple setup and operation and uses durable, quick-dry inks for fade and water resistant prints.

Connectivity, flexibility and mobility are key with the WorkForce WF-100 and the printer enables convenient mobile printing with Epson Connect3, a suite of free mobile printing solutions including Email Print, Epson Creative Print, Epson iPrint™, Epson Remote Print and more.
