Epson launches new SureLab D560 minilab for kiosks, studios, retail and events
Compact, lightweight photo printer designed for fast, cost-effective production
SYDNEY, 22 November 2022 – Epson has launched the latest in its SureLab minilab range, the small and powerful SureLab D560. This new DryLab printer has been designed and built for a variety of environments including kiosk, studio, retail and events.
The SureLab D560 is ideal for portable use weighing in at only 7kg and with its compact size at just 299 x 350 x 154 cm.
Size is clearly no measure of strength though as the D560 outputs 4”x6” and 3.5”x5” photo sizes in gloss or lustre whilst also supporting double-sided printing. The D560 also holds 100 sheets of media, is particularly easy to use and is fast to print with 250pph for 4”x6” images.
Part of the reason for this speed and efficiency is that the D560 is equipped with and leverages the same, enhanced 6-channel MicroPiezo® printhead and vivid UltraChrome® D6r-S dye-based ink technology as the SureLab D1060. This means the printer can accurately reproduce subtle tones in portrait photos with smooth transitions and crisp, sharp details. When coupled with compatible Epson genuine photo media, prints are water, smudge and fade resistant. Ultimately, the SureLab D560 enjoys the same high print quality as the SureLab D1060.
For improved productivity and sustainability, the SureLab D560's ink system uses 70ml bottles that are cost-effective to purchase and compact to store.
Then, for greater efficiencies, the D560 supports Epson Cloud Solution PORT. With Epson Cloud Solution PORT, D560 users have access to historic and real-time data for better decision making. With quality data users can control costs more closely while ensuring optimal asset utilisation. Performance data is summarised in a simple and easy to understand interface. You can even drill into production groups and right down to individual printers to understand what is happening, what issues are occurring and where opportunities lie for improvement and optimisation.
Another clever option that can be requested for the D560 is the SureLab Order Controller, Epson's clever software used for managing and controlling print orders. It gives users system flexibility and the ability to efficiently manage orders and printers from over the counter or coming from associated Kiosks via automated order management and production. Order Controller also allows the quick and easy production of sets of photos from digital image files via pre-sets and includes advanced image correction features including red eye removal
The D560 printer is versatile and reliable with a 100,000 print life cycle and the fact that it can be stacked three units high when required. It also features all-front access for easy ink refill, media loading and maintenance tank change.
As with the D1060, one of the key design features of the D560 is its reduced total cost of ownership (TCO). It has been designed to offer worry-free operation with minimum maintenance whilst enjoying a long print life.
In short, the D560 offers a compact footprint, is portable with versatile installation as well as a range of new features to suit retail and in-house photo production.
The SureLab D560 comes with a comprehensive 'heads-and-all' on-site warranty that can be extended with CoverPlus for up to five years.
Key features of the SureLab D560 include:
