Epson Atrisan 1430
Have had this printer 2 days but forget to buy the printer cable so have only just installed it. Easy to install and I have just printed out 51 pages of text and photos. Very pleased with the speed and quality of printing. Have only used 90gsm paper so far. But as very happy with the results.
Printer is larger than my previous one so takes up more space but that's a minor detail.

Good product but needs longer life of heads
Purchased as replacement for one that the heads clogged and couldnt be fixed. Need heads that can be removed easily for cleaning, and have longer life

All I could want in a photo printer
Having only recently purchased this printer, I am already deeply impressed with it. Setup was a breeze, and connecting via Wi-Fi was easier than connectng some other devices via USB!
Print quality is excellent, even on the 180gsm third-party photo paper that I habitually use. Speed is faster than I am used to, a good thing, but not so fast as to compromise quality, a better thing still.
Paper feed is precise and accurate (something which was a problem with my previous printer), and I really like the paper feed method (a surprise to me - I didn't think I would, as I'm used to a paper tray). The ability to make A3 prints has already been tried and proved to be excellent.
I am especially pleased with this printer because it is a tool that does one job, and does it well. No compromise on function is required to be made. I'm sure multi-function devices do their jobs well, too, but I can't help but think that some compromise must be made in order for a device to do more than one thing.
One final point. Epson gets two big ticks for packaging, that is, for making the printer simple to unpack. Firstly, the separate packing pieces on top and bottom meant I didn't have to risk a hernia trying to "shake" the packaging (and printer!) free of the box, or require assistance to remove it. The second is the provision of the "bag with handles" containing the printer, making it a simple task to remove the unit from the box and place it in its destination.
