Bought on recommendation
I bought my V600 scanner on the recommendation of a friend who has owned hers for a couple of months. Still to use my scanner as I am ploughing through the manual before I start (it was bought to save a slide collection and irreplaceable old family photos). I have been impressed, though, by the build quality other than the film/slide holders which look as if they will demand extreme care in use.

Great features and quality scans
The dust control feature and the ease of scanning four slides at a time made scanning our old slides so much cleaner and easier. The quality of the reproductions is excellent and have made the time spending archiving them digitally worthwhile. Now I can share these quality photographs with other family members.

good replacement for my old 3200
produces good quality scans with ease, thanks in many respects to the epson scan utility, which remains easy to use in the "professional" mode. Thanks for not turning it into a graphic interface for dummies..
The ability to leave the top raised while positioning artwork is a big improvement on the 3200.
My only gripe is that the power switch is hidden away towards the back of the scanner on the right side?

Very happy
Unfortunately, I owned 2 of this machine which I have been happy with the ease and output of the V600 but for the money, they don't last more than a few years. The first one I just threw out but the last one I took to Epson repairer to have a look at and was told that it wasn't economic to repair. I would have thought when to were paying this much money you get a product that would last longer.
