Scanner is mostly used for negatives and transparencies (from 35mm to 5x4)
I've been using V700 for 6 months and it has produced great results. The very first time I used the scanner I copied 35mm Kodachromes on Automatic setting ...Not one had to be repeated and have been used for 10x8 prints. OK the transparencies were pretty good to start with and dust was carefully removed but the results exceeded my expectations. Now I'm regularly using Silverfast with excellent results but with much more control. I've been a professional photographer for 50 years and can truly say this scanner is great value. But pre-scan preparation is worth while for efficient workflow. Group similar images together, same density/contrast and remove dust and fingerprints ....Keep everything tidy and clean. GD

Great Workhorse
I use this scanner in my dental practice for scanning documents and xrays for all types of record keeping.
Its ability to scan all types of films and xrays make it very productive.
The software is very simple to use and integrates well with other software.
This my second unit after 8 years..with the first unit having scanned thousands of pages and xrays..working every day. (It finally broke down and was not worth repairing both in time lost and $.)
Very reliable. never had to repair it in any way.
Its only drawback is that it is not a duplex unit for basic paper scanning as well.
New price has actually fallen since my original purchase in both real and actual cost.

Very easy to use
Very happy with the scanner. Easy to use, produces good results and has resurrected some quite degrades slides and pictures, some of which are over 40 years old.

A very reliable, fast and excellent photo scanner.
I have had a V700 Photo scanner for 6 years and it never missed a beat. Just purchased a replacement one because I had an accident with the old unit. I think it would have continued for years otherwise. Brilliant results with photographic scans which I use for my photo restoration and archiving business. The negative and slide scanning is also and added features which I use regularly and great for digitising 35mm slides and B/W negatives. Perhaps not quite as good as a dedicated film scanner but for 80% of my work it does a great job in this area.
