Excellent value for money projector
I did a little bit of research on a number of projectors and was hooked on the Epson TW9200 but needed portability so had to settle for the TW5200 for that reason only. Had it for around 10 days now and have to say I'm very happy. The brightness is better than I expected and I can leave the light on and still have decent viewing but with lights off I'm just amazed at how good it is for the price. The colours are good although lots of others website reviews complain that black could be darker but I am not that fussy. 3D is just superb although the fan noise does increase in this mode but I also run a separate floor fan next to the projector to try keep it cooler and it's even noisier than the projector but I could care less. The heat produced by the projector can act as a heater and can be felt if you do not have air-conditioning or a fan in the room. You do also lose brightness through the glasses but that is to be expected as with any 3D glasses. There are plenty of settings to tweak image colour, tones and brightness if needed. I purchased 5 pairs of Epson 3D glasses as I didn't want to take the risk of generic brands not working. They charge very fast indeed. The audio speaker is adequate but can distort when turned up louder, so I recommend a decent sound system as who would want to watch a large screen without the impact. I have the projector placed 2.5 metres from the wall and it projects approximately a 2m image. The 2 HDMI inputs are handy but the USB port will not play movie files as the projector does not have a built-in media player. Overall I'm also very pleased with the build quality of this projector, great value for money.

Projecting my happiness!
What a great projector for the price. I had a 3 LCD by another manufacturer and gave it one last run, so I could fully appreciate any improvement upon firing up my new one. Well wow, this Epson is amazing, the brightness in the colours and detail have blown me away. Gaming on this projector is amazing, fast moving images have no blur what-so-ever and the sense of immersion is brilliant. Movies look vivid and detailed, blacks could be a little darker but I have an OLED TV so probably notice them a little more than most. Overall, I couldn't be happier for the price, a great piece of kit.

excellant value for money
I bought this projector to replace an existing projector at a new house we bought. I didn't really know much about projectors before we bought the new house but decided it wasn't worth putting a new bulb in the old projector a 1996 model and was amazed at the image quality of this model compared to the old one.
It was good value for money and has great image including 3d capability. Very happy with this projector!
