Brilliant product after tricky installation
The product is excellent. So far we have used it for scanning and restoring old family photos. It is simple and intuitive, and with great inbuilt settings to restore colour, tweak colour and remove dust marks and scratches. Looking forward to using it to digitise old slides. Caution: installation was frustrating because of incompatibility with our Mac 64bit technology. However, Epson Tech Support sent us a link that when downloaded instantly solved the problem. Could do with a better instruction manual for installation and advice on photo jargon. Also, be aware the lid does require a little force to lift it! Very pleased with it, can definitely recommend it.

My old scanner died and I needed a new one. A friend has one and said it was a great scanner so I bought one and its been great. Well done epsom
I have used epsom products before and they have always been well put together and produce great quality.
A friend has an epsom 550 and said it was great so after my original scanner died I bought the same as my friend.

The V550 Photo scanner is easy to use despite its technical capacity. The uploading of software was easy and the Instructions how to install and use the scanner were intelligently thought-through. Reproduction of Slide images was excellent and of the quality I require for the present Book I am writing on Orchids. Congratulations for developing this scanner.
