Set up not easy
As a new user of photo scanners and an 'old' person, I had trouble setting up the scanner as the instructions are very brief - far too brief. We had difficulty all along the way setting up the scanner to use, and even though we have now 'done' eight photos, there are many questions we can't answer. We had to ask our computer expert on some details, as the scanner instructions hardly say anything, and the steps illustrated in the scant brochure with the scanner are extremely limited and lack detail.
The end product of a print of an old slide is excellent though, as I have seen one done by a friend who has used this scanner. My friend also says the instructions are very poor.
If this instruction issue can be fixed, that would vastly increase our satisfaction with the product.

Good to upgrade to the latest methods of scanning
Got this product home at 3pm. by 3.45pm i had scanned 7 WW1 old photos. with outstanding results. have saved them and reopened in bridge without any problems. Quicker than last scanner (Epson)
This new one I think will be just as good.

Epson Perfection V370
I bought this product mainly for the features and value for money, have been using it for scanning photographs and I am happy with the results I have received and would recommend this product to anyone looking for value for money.

The scanner has the highest reolution available on the retail market.
As an architect I am often called on to produce fine detail drawings and photographs of various construction elements, I found this difficult with the standard multi function copier scanners. I therefore purchased your V370 unit and have been suitably impressed with the detail I have been able to reproduce. Together with my new WF-7620 I am able to reproduce very high grade "hard" copies of my work (both drawings and photographs), for presentations to my clients and local council departments.
