At last a decent film scanner
This the 5th scanner I have purchased. I have not been happy with ones I have purchased in the past because they were not real good on slide scanning. The software loaded first time hassle free. I like the 'dust reduction' feature and see of use. Works well with documents and the transfer from a document to word is really handy. The slim design blend into my cluttered workbench. thanks Epson

Useful features - questionable longevity
This unit was purchased with the purpose of archiving documents and photographs. It has some useful features, particularly the ability to archive slides. The software to "poster-stich" is poor. Overlaps were present and sections missing. This was one of the key features that I was intending to use. The editing of scanned documents in PDF, while possible, was not perfect and required much adjustment. The quality of the scanned documents was quite good and the editing software useful in terms of making photographic corrections. For basic home use it is quite easy to use whilst offering the capacity to make adjustments beyond those automated from "quick scan".

The product is very easy to operate
I found that the product was simple you operate and what was produced was of very good quality. I am using scanned material in an eightieth birthday photo book in which I will record photographs and significant other documents. The instruction that appear on my computer screen are exceptionally easy to follow. Thank you Epson
